Support and Influence

Our hope is the DNA of GracePointe will be that of Jesus.

GracePointe has been shaped by several healthy churches and networks. Take some time to get to know those who helped us become GracePointe Church.

SBC of Virginia

The SBC of Virginia is a fellowship of more than 700 churches dedicated to the fulfillment of the Great Commission. The convention began in 1996 based on a belief in the inerrancy of Scriptures and committed to church planting as a means to reach the world for Christ. Their mission is to strengthen and mobilize churches to make disciples and plant churches for Jesus Christ through Gospel partnership.

Acts 29

Acts 29 is a diverse, global family of church-planting churches characterized by theological clarity, cultural engagement, and missional innovation. Their goal is to be known for planting churches that plant churches, pursuing holiness and humility, being a radically diverse and global community, and praying for conversions through evangelism.

Our Church Partners

Our Church Partners

Catalyst Church

Newport News, Virginia

Catalyst was planted in August 2012 with a desire to reach Christopher Newport University students. They have since grown and expanded their reach throughout Newport News. Catalyst is one of our sending churches and has been supporting at many levels before we launched; helping to unite our pastors and form the beginnings of our launch team.  GracePointe is the first church planted by Catalyst.

CrossPointe Coast

Viera, Florida

CrossPointe was planted with a desire to reach Brevard County, Florida. CrossPointe is one of our sending churches and has been supporting us at many levels since the vision for GracePointe was birthed in 2012.  CrossPointe was also instrumental in helping to establish our culture and introduced us to the Acts 29 network.  GracePointe is the first church planted by CrossPointe.

Portico Church

Charlottesville, Virginia

Portico has planted several churches throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Being a historic and university town, Charlottesville is culturally similar to Williamsburg. In many ways, Portico serves as a model for what GracePointe hopes to grow towards. Our launch team and first partners included a transplant family from Portico. While supporting us relationally for many years, Portico began formally supporting us in 2019.

Hampton Roads Fellowship

Newport News, Virginia

HRF was planted in 2013 with the goal of seeing church renewal in the Newport News area. HRF is a culturally diverse group of people that truly embodies the "one another" commands of the bible. HRF was instrumental in influencing the culture of GracePointe. They have been supporting us in many ways since before our launch and formally began supporting in 2018.

Remnant Church

Richmond, Virginia

Remnant has two locations in inner city Richmond. Remnant is also where the Acts 29 Network North Atlantic headquarters and much of their staff is located. The staff at Remnant has been an excellent source of encouragement and training as they guided us through the process of becoming part of the network. Remnant has connected us with other network churches and began formally supporting us in 2019.

Anchor Church

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Anchor is an Acts 29 church that was planted September of 2012. They’ve experienced tremendous growth in that time. They are excited about our vision and that we are bridging the gap between Virginia Beach and Richmond for our network. Anchor has supported us with much encouragement since before launch and have formally supported us since we launched in 2018.

Village Church

Dallas, Texas

The Village is a multisite church that also served as the headquarters for the Acts 29 network. They’ve been instrumental in much of the informal teaching and training that shaped our pastoral leadership. One of the first families that partnered with GracePointe were part of the Village before moving to Virginia, so this church was an encouragement very early in our ministry. The Village began formally supporting us in 2019.

Bethel Baptist Church

Yorktown, Virginia

Bethel is a church with a rich history dating back to the mid 1800s planting several churches throughout the country since that time. Bethel is the sending church for Catalyst Church and also the childhood church of one of our pastors. It goes without saying, they’ve shaped our leadership in many ways. Bethel began formally supporting us in 2018.
